Konrad Beverage Company is a third generation family-owned and operated beer, liquor and wine distributor located in Deptford New Jersey, and are proudly serving Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington Counties. We also distribute non-alcoholic beverages to those counties, as well as Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic, and Cape May counties.
Konrad Beverage’s portfolio includes domestic, craft and imported beers, as well as a variety of liquor, and wine products, and non-alcoholic beverages. Konrad Beverage’s foundation and strength relies on our dedicated employees who provide our customers with great service.
Konrad Beverage has employed several green initiatives, including the installation of a solar panel system with over 2000 solar panels on both our warehouse and administration buildings, and the recycling of cardboard, plastic, glass bottle and aluminum can waste. We believe that environmental stewardship is an important part of a company’s footprint. We produce over 110% of our energy needs each year.

Our Story
The late Herbert L. and Ruth Konrad took over the family business, Mount Royal Inn, located in Mount Royal, New Jersey, from Herbert L’s father. In 1949, the Konrads swapped their small local bar in Mount Royal for a beer wholesaler business called Laurel Beverage. The Konrads invested their time, energy, and talents in growing this distributorship. In 1962, Laurel Beverage purchased Waugh Beverage Company and formed Konrad Beer Distributor, Inc. After Herbert L. Konrad’s passing in 1973, Herbert J. Konrad joined the family business after serving in Vietnam. Herbert J. managed the business alongside his mother, Ruth, until her passing.
In the 1980s both of Herbert J.’s sons Herbert J. Konrad Jr. and Paul H. Konrad, started working at Konrad Beverage during summer and winter breaks throughout high school and college. After graduating from college and working in related industries, both Herbert Jr. and Paul started working full-time for Konrad Beverage. Both Herbert Jr. and Paul learned the intricacies of the business by working in every department.
In 2015, Konrad Beer Distributor, Inc. changed its name to Konrad Beverage to reflect that Konrad was no longer distributing just beer, but also wine and spirits. In 2022, Konrad established its Non-Alcoholic Division, expanding the portfolio even further.
In 2019, Herbert J. retired, but continues with Konrad as Chairman of the Board. Herbert Jr. and Paul currently serve as Konrad Beverage’s President and Vice President, respectively, focusing on growing their company's portfolio. The Konrad family enjoys and loves its business and believes each day is a new challenge. The Konrads are grateful for our customers, and we enjoy working with them.
